LU NIEDDU

COLLI DEL LIMBARA IGT

una bottiglia di vetro scuro per il vino Jankara Lu Nieddu

The wine is a field blend of 6 different grape varieties that are all planted mixed in one single vineyard, the grapes are Caricaggiola, Pascale, Cannonau, Dolcetto

Due to the fact the all the grapes are harvested together the earlier maturing varieties become slightly dried while still attached to the vine, also being that the vines are nearly 85 years old, the yields are minimal and naturally reduced to 2-4 grape bunches maximum per vine approximately half a kilo of grapes.

After fermentation, the wine is then aged for twelve months in French Barrique and an additional 6 months afterwards before being released. During this vinification process Jankara is flanked by world known enologist Gianni Menotti who oversees the entire process from vineyard to bottle.

There is a total of 2035 bottles of this wine produced per vintage.
