ISOLA DEI NURAGHI IGT

bottiglia di vino in vetro scuro con etichetta blu Jankara 755

Our new flagship wine.

This new wine is produced from six different grapes varieties coming from our vineyard in Mamoiada, at 755 meters above sea level (hence the name), with very low yields, about half a kilogram per vine.

A wine that features a remarkable structure, an almost impenetrable color and an extraordinary balance.

This wine will certainly age with grace.

Mamoiada is located in the heart of Sardinia, in a historic area called “Barbagia”. here altitude reigns supreme, which allows the Cannonau grapes to benefit from intense fluctuations of temperatures between night and day contributing to a slow and complete maturation of the grapes which in turn creates great balance in the wine between alcohol and acidity.

Our vineyards of 2 hectrs are located above the town of Mamoiada at 755 meters above sea level in crushed granite soils. Here we find approx. 7000 plants of Cannoanau and 2000 plants mixed between Cabernet Sauvignon, Alicante, Syrah, Sangiovese and Carignano. These grapes produce two wines, the first being a Cannonau di Sardegna DOC ( 98% Cannonau 2% Alicante) and the second an Isola dei Nuraghi IGT called “755mt” (Cannonau, Cabernet Sauvignon, Alicante, Syrah, Sangiovese and Carignano).
